Mia absolutely adores people and seems to think every dog she meets is an instant friend.
She's gentle, affectionate and a pleasure to walk or take to any social situation.
She even thinks going to the vet is awesome.
Because Mia is vision impaired, she'll need a home that understands her unique needs.
She can be easily startled if someone approaches quietly from the side, so she needs calm, patient people who will always let her know they are there.
Gentle handling isn't just preferred for Mia - it's essential. She has the sweetest nature and deserves humans who will treat her with the same kindness she gives so freely.
She would also benefit from someone who is home a lot or able to take Mia with them when they go out.
Mia does require daily eye drops which she takes in her stride.
A home without stairs is also a must. Mia has no depth perception, making stairs unsafe for her.
The wonderful news is that Mia is otherwise a happy, healthy young dog.
4 Paws will cover any veterinary expense related to her eye condition for life (conditions apply).
Her adoption fee will be waived.
Mia must remain on the Sunshine Coast where she can visit our vet at Warana for any required treatment for her eyes.
She is best suited to a home without children.
A small, gentle dog companion would be welcome.
Meet Gerry!
He's done it tough in recent times, finding himself homeless as a stray. Gerry originally came to us from the pound and whilst we've got to know him quiet well now unfortunately, we have no history on him.
We do know he's a senior (approx 8-10) and that he's very sweet and happy.
He has a gentle temperament and would be a good companion for another older, quiet dog.
Gerry has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and has had some dental work completed.
Given this and his age, he'll become part of our Permanent Resident program.
Despite his tough times, Gerry is a really joyful little dog.
He's very affectionate, loves to shadow you around the house and sleep on the bed.
He loves playing with his squeaky toy and will put a smile on your face with his funny antics.
Gerry absolutely loves going out in the car. He gets so excited to see the car door open, he'll jump right in ready to go on an adventure with you.
He also enjoys a walk and goes well on a lead.
We're looking for a loving, forever home where he will be treated with kindness and patience in his golden years.
As a permanent resident, 4 Paws will cover Gerry's vet care for life.
You must reside on the Sunshine Coast and be willing to take him to his routine vet appointments at Nicklin Way Vets in Warana.

They will benefit from a home where they can continue their training and will be given the time they need to settle in.
They respond well to positive reinforcement and encouragement.
Walter and Poppy will be best suited to an active retired couple or a family with older teenagers who have the time and commitment to help them continue on their journey.

After coming into 4 Paws following a car accident, Buddy has spent the past couple of months recovering in foster care.
He's now ready for his forever home.
Buddy is a very affectionate and sweet little man who bonds closely with his human.
He has shared his home with other dogs and could live happily with a calm, gentle companion. A home without cats is essential as is a home without young children, older teenagers would be fine.
While Buddy has recovered well, he would be best suited to a home that can provide routine with gentle walks and exercise rather than active adventures.
Buddy is a loyal, loving companion who will give you a lifetime of unconditional love in return for a new home and a new life.
He is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated.
Adoption $995
She recently arrived into our care after living in difficult conditions, however, despite her past, she's an incredibly loving little dog.
She adores people and is happiest when she's close to you, enjoying pats, cuddles and reassurance.
Zelda has a calm, affectionate nature, travels beautifully in the care and just wants to be loved.
Zelda is seeking a calm, secure home, either with no children or children over 12 years, where she can continue to blossom.
She has lived with other dogs and may enjoy the company of a gentle male canine companion, she'd also be fine as the only dog at home.
Experience with Chinese Crested dogs is preferred as they're a unique breed with their own special requirements.
She'll need regular skin care and protection from the sun.
Zelda has been vet checked, desexed, microchipped and vaccinate
Adoption $1,200

They are everything you’d hope for in young, healthy dogs – affectionate, well-mannered and easy to have around.
Both are house trained, know the routines of family life and have settled beautifully into foster care.
They enjoy their walks, love spending time with their people and are equally happy curling up beside you at the end of the day.
Winnie and Eddie are simply good boys.
They have lovely temperaments, thrive on companionship and would make wonderful additions to a family with kids over 12 or a couple/individual looking for twice the love.
They are dog friendly, but untested with cats.
Adoption $1,100 each
They’ve been very loved companions who adore attention and being close to their people.
We’re told they’re a bonded pair and, while we get to know them better, it’s clear they take comfort in each other’s company.
Ballerina, the chocolate poodle, is 5 years old and the social butterfly of the pair.
She loves everyone she meets and would happily play fetch all day if given the chance.
Sweet, affectionate and playful, she brings the fun wherever she goes.
Romeo, the Maltese, is 4 years old and appears to be the more sensitive of the two. He bonds deeply with his people and is happiest curled up close beside you.
Romeo can be wary of men, particularly those in high-vis workwear.
Romeo and Ballerina are used to being spoiled with love and attention.
They sleep on the bed, enjoy being close to their humans and are looking for a calm, loving home where they can settle.
We’re looking for a home on the Sunshine Coast with no children and no other pets please.
Adoption - $995 each

He's been surrendered because of a change in his family circumstances.
Paxxy is settling in beautifully with his foster carer and is loving the routine and comfort of home life.
With a consistent home environment, socialisation and lots of love, Paxxy has come a long way in such a short time.
He’s proving to be a happy, affectionate fluffball who loves making friends with other dogs and people - he adores belly rubs and cuddles.
He’s learning fast and shows excitement when he hears the word "walkies".
He’s constantly being praised for how beautifully he walks on lead and for the positive behaviours he’s showing in social settings.
He’s still very much a puppy at heart too — playful, curious, and always ready for a bit of fun.
He’s also toilet trained, sleeps through the night and has picked up his basic skills quickly.
And speaking of fluff — one of Paxxy’s standout features is his soft golden coat. It’s surprisingly easy to maintain with a gentle brush, and even more surprising, he barely sheds. For a boy this fluffy, he’s wonderfully low‑maintenance.
He's dog friendly so can be rehomed with a suitable gentle natured canine friend.
Paxxy is learning to be independent when home alone.
Paxxy's ideal match would be a family/couple/individual with no small kids (over 12 yrs is fine), someone that is active and can commit to the exercise and ongoing training required and without cats or other pets.
He's vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and worm and flea treated.
Adoption $995
He is full of energy and fun, with a happy, wagging tail.
He's always keen to get involved with terrier business and sniff out an adventure with his people.
Gary currently weighs in at 10kg.
He will thrive with someone who understands and has previous experience with Jack Russell's.
Gary's ideal forever home would be somewhere where he can have regular exercise with a family that can match his energy levels.
What Gary needs:
🐾 A home on the Sunshine Coast
🐾 A home with no other animals
🐾 A family/person with knowledge of the Jack Russell breed.
Adoption $895

She's a very affectionate girl who very sadly became a victim of the homeless crisis.
She's a young, healthy dog with a lot of energy and happy to live with other dogs.
Slinky is very food motivated and will be open to training. Her foster carer reports that she does suffer from some separation anxiety which is understandable given her history.
She manages that better with the company of other dogs.
She enjoys her walks and playtime and will need a home that is a good match for her energy levels.
Slinky is desexed, vaccinated, vet checked, microchipped.
Adoption: $995
Tina is an 11 year old Pug X.
She's a darling girl who came into our care after her owner sadly passed away.
Due to her age, Tina will remain as a 4 Paws Permanent Resident and we are seeking a Permanent Carer for her.
We're seeking her new forever home where she can live out her golden years as a cherished member of the family.
Tina adores people and will give you all the love and joy you can manage.
Her ideal scenario would be an adult only home where she's an only pet and can have all your attention to herself.
She loves her car rides and enjoys a daily walk.
As a Permanent Foster Carer you will need to reside on the Sunshine Coast, QLD and be willing to take her to her routine vet appointments at Warana.
