4 Paws Animal Rescue's Garage Sale was held last weekend 4-5 December 2010 in Woombye by Bev and Tim Fleming.
This email is to congratulate Bev and Tim on behalf of all of us at 4 Paws for the huge effort they put in and the aching joints they have as a consequence.
Thanks also to everyone who donated towards the cause .. and also those who went to help Bev and Tim run the sale over the weekend .. not to forget all the wonderful supporters who came along to buy or just have a chat.
The result was a massive $2,048.00 .. a wonderful outcome.

What an incredible day we had yesterday .. about 120 people registered and about 170 dogs walked for Paws despite gloomy weather predictions the crowd kept coming.
We were totally unprepared for the magnitude of what happened on Kawana Island with our Walk for Paws .. we made just under $3500.00 profit for 4 Paws Animal Rescue. |
Great afford by all that helped make this event such a huge success.
We owe a VERY BIG THANK YOU TO:-
JULIE COFFEY - for approaching me several weeks ago with the idea to WALK FOR PAWS to raise funds for our animals -
For negotiating with Council for permission to run the event - for designing and printing brochures - for marketing the event throughout Kawana Island and much more.
It was Julie who started the ball rolling.
To our very generous sponsors FIRST NATIONAL COASTAL REAL ESTATE - Darren Lockwood and Peter Cox who paid for the band - all the marketing and much more

To DARREN LOCKWOOD for being a superb compere - we could not have done it without you - your quick wit and wicked sense of humour kept the crowd interested.

JENNY SMITH AND EDIE ROBINSON - what can I say!
Two of THE MOST DYNAMIC- WELL ORGANISED WOMEN I have ever met.
Jenny and Edie came forward and OFFERED to help
These two girls turned what was supposed to be a simple Walk for Paws into a HUGE EVENT - we were utterly unprepared and totally amazed at what they achieved.
For those who were not there, these two girls started work on Sunday morning on Kawana Island at around 5.30am with a team of helpers (family and friends)
They organised and erected around 18 marquees
Plus numerous trestle tables
A SAUSAGE SIZZLE that ran with military precision
They brought in all the equipment for the Sausage Sizzle - warming trays - commercial cookers - commercial coolers - gloves
They organised all the sausages - bread - sauces to be DONATED
.we did not pay ONE cent towards the sizzle.
They organised literally dozens and dozens of prizes - all wrapped up and labelled for the multi draw raffle.
They organised a huge white board with all the prizes listed
They arranged water with the council for dogs drinking bowls
They organised around 800 biscuits to be BAKED - PACKED & LABELLED

Busking tape
Huge Council Shade Tent
They ran the Fancy Dress Competition - the Dog Look Alike - Dog Obedience
The list goes on and on
The whole lot then had to be packed up and taken home and sorted out.
It was an incredible success - and is probably the biggest event 4 Paws has ever attempted we could not believe it and we could never have achieved this without
JULIE COFFEY - PETER COX - DARREN LOCKWOOD and of course JENNY SMITH AND EDIE ROBINSON and our faithful band of 4 PAWS VOLUNTEERS ON THE DAY
Julie and I counted the money and we made just under $3500.00 with a bit more money due in later today.
A FANTASTIC - FANTASTIC RESULT.

Blue Illusion Fashion Show

Hi Everyone
A very big thank you for the fantastic support for the Blue Illusion fashion show on Saturday!
We had around 85 people present - it was a lovely atmosphere.
Over $3000 worth of sales was achieved in the 2 hour time slot.
4 Paws will receive a cheque for over $600

Hello Folks
What a fantastic day we had yesterday at the Pet Expo .. lots of 4 Paws Members turned up to support the day
Thank you to the volunteers .. always the same group of willing helpers .. big thank you to the bakers who made dog biscuits
Thank you to everyone who got involved .. it was a great day for the animals as well.
We raised a total of $844.05
